The Adriatic coast Hand Printed Linen Blend Table Runner is a unique piece that will make any occasion at your dining table a triumph.
Coming directly from Cesenatico in the Adriatic coast of Emilia-Romagna region, this is a part of Italy that is still unbeaten by international tourism, an hidden gem, rich in history, culture and beauty.
Each piece is hand printed by using pear-tree wooden moulds which have been hand-carved. This procedure follows the ancient art of ‘rust printing’ which was born and spread in Romagna in the 18th century and passed down into generations until now. In the whole Italy there are only about 10 artisans workshops left that still use this ancient technique.
All colours are natural and created in-house from Roberta herself, in the very same workshop in which , she skillfully also cut and hand prints each piece of fabric and textile.
The colour is the result of a natural mixture of iron-rust flour and vinegar. Each item is made bespoke by hand and the irregularities of the pattern and colour is what it makes a unique piece in quality, elegance and character.
